Presbyterian work in the Cameroons commenced about 1889 when the Reverend and Mrs. B.B. Brier were assigned to the Batanga station. Mission stations were later established at Efulan (1893), Elat (1895), Lolodorf (1897), Foulassi (1916), Edea (1920) and Sakbayeme (1920).
